The intro cutscene, much like Angry Birds 's, shows polar bears who have kidnapped and caged several penguins. Each penguin has a limited number of bounces. Polar bears are usually found hiding behind ice block structures, which penguins may have to break through with their bouncy bodies. Those that make it through are then brought into stage two, which has the player drop the penguins into an area filled with polar bears, the aim being to knock each of them out using the diving penguins. Gameplay Crazy Penguin Catapult / Crazy Penguin Catapult 2Įach level has two stages: the first sees the player try to use a catapult to fling penguins through a gap in the wall. 1.1 Crazy Penguin Catapult / Crazy Penguin Catapult 2.This is an excellent example of DChoc's one-touch gaming philosophy that does not exclude any gamer, regardless of skill level. It's still very playable and a nice addition to the winning casual game formula of penguin-launching anarchy. It's kind of like Risk, but with flightless birds. Crazy Penguin Catapult 2 includes the strategy-style side game from the original, too. Birds and bears? Not exactly friendly with each other. Other than new power-ups and 50 brand new stages, that's about all that's new to Crazy Penguin Catapult 2. Some of the power-ups are new to Crazy Penguin Catapult 2. You can earn extra penguins so you have more shots, bear-seeking penguins, drill helmets for thundering through ice, dynamite boxes that blow up patches of ice when smacked, and much more. When you gather a set number of stars, you earn power-ups for your penguins. Each stage has a required number of bears to slam, but the more you nail the more stars you bank. Others are hidden in tunnels that can be infiltrated by a sliding a penguin through icy crevices. Some bears are protected by ice which must be broken. Once you've launched all of your penguins, then you must dive-bomb the polar bears and knock them off their perches. If they splat against a wall or the ceiling, they cannot be used to defeat polar bears in the second-half of the stage. Penguins dive in front of the catapult and you must bonk them at just the right moment so they fly out of your cave unscathed. In Crazy Penguin Catapult 2, you use a catapult to launch penguins over a field of pesky polar bears.
